At 2-10 pm today, he landed a 1 1/2 kg Cat fish on a worm-hook-lead shot weigh and a few min later I landed my first catch in 30 years-a previously discussed and predestinated 6 incher , again on the same formula.
The secret weapon was -dev's father-I guess

The location was the Hindon barrage, about 6-7km from Noida and the exact spot was our favourite ' Toxic greens' The fish seemed to have a normal appearance and visible organs-exact degree of mutation was not recognisable

A jolly good time was had by all, included in the guest list were several local fishing stalwarts, whose technique consists of using old oil cans as a spool and huge hook loaded with a single lead shot for weight and about a dozen worms on each hook, hand cast. They have about 3-4 lines each and sit contentedly in the shade.
My tackle box with its assorted lures/spoons/homebrewed bucktails etc was star attractant-however, noticing my plight, one of the locals immediately dug out and donated a huge hook (a 2/0 atleast!) tied it onto my line and made me cast-few min later, strike-a perfect, much vaunted 6 incher!
The brotherhood is alive everywhere in the world-Last trip with Mack The Knife made my tackle box a couple of kgs heavier with stuff he loaded on, now these guys...I'm glad I didnt let them down!
The local contractor issues fishing licences for 10 rupees a day and unlimited catch.
I have snaps of Dev and his catch on my phone-am yet to get around to downloading with Bluetooth.Shall post fortwith, as a technology demonstrator.
