I recieved this lot of GSmith pellets and thought I'd see how it fares in my IHP35.
All the pellets have a relatively tight fit, with the Domed ones having the tightest fit. The pointed ones come next and the hollow points the last.
The pellets are huge when compared to the local ones, and very heavy. However the lead is softer. I believe the weights are very close if not equal to Beeman Kodiaks. I remember seeing a therad where someone had weighed them. I'll try coaxing a local jeweller into doing it for this lot.
As for grouping, I could test only at 10 yards and the results were good. The domed ones had the tightest grouping of the lot and the pointed ones the worst in groups of 5 pellets. All of them however were <1" at 10 yards.
I also shot at a piece of tile at 10 yards to look at the splat pattern. Here's the outcome:
If somebody is good at splatology, lemme know what the velocities should be for the pellet to flower out similarly.
I will add pictures comparing size with the local pellets, tonight.
I tried out the hollow points at a coke can at 40 yards last night. Took three shots, all three hit the can, but the group was something like 2". This is wholly due to my error and I believe your groups will be much better than this.
I'm still using the original Mainspring and Washer from IHP. Gunmark claims a remarkable improvement if you use their Mainspring and Washer. I did order a couple of them. But will install them once this spring wears out.
