The jodhpur made new-lite Air Rifle is avaliable with India arms, Gurretti xing, Moradabad for 2800.00 in .22, the grooves are supposed to be very decently done.
It is more powerful than the IHP-35 anyday. & pretty accurate too compared to indian standards
it is a underleaver with a very stiff spring & a pretty good kick too.
Can tire u if on a field job, there is a constant complaint about air leak from the joints, where the solder gets blown away due to careless use.
one must remember to close the pellet loading lever before firing, else the air pressure can even burst the chamber.

I disagree about it being superior to the IHP. I had one for eleven years and it shot smoothly all the while. It could break beer bottles with mastershot pellets at about 20 feet, I didn't have more space on the roof.

This was enough power, delivered shot after shot without making me hate it. Trigger was hard but I smoothened it out till it became decent.

I had a jodhpur arms under lever which was a pita in comparison. powerful due to excessive dieseling which all ended when the oil dried up. Then the pellet would start to nose dive after 15 feet. After you have pulled the shot off target due to the hard trigger.

Regards,

This is rifled- Pretty heavy but very consistent. Fires well with round heads.
Missed one pic - adding that too.

Jodhpur Made Air Gun 0.22

Post by arbab » Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:18 pm

Hiii Frends,

I am not able to track down the intro place to formally Introduce me....However let me ask on my doubt first with the plethora of knowledge you guys have on this subject....I have a one Indian made under lever air gun 0.22 ( as it is fixed barrel I am not sure if the barrel is rifeled or not) but it is one made by new light at works co. from Jodhpur. I recently replaced its mainspring and put cherokee spring in there with a leather washer..still I think the performance of the gun is not up to the mark. Please giv me your suggestions on how I can make it a power house, I like its hold and design a lot and thats the reason I dont wana go for any other Indian break barrel... Please giv me suggestions on what you guys think I should DO.....Thnx so much frends.
