@essdee...the first 2 knife are made from a milled tooth steel file.

"Stock removal" refers to grinding the knife to shape, right? What did you use to grind a file?

angle grinder. you will have to be careful that you dont overheat the steel. i would do a couple of passes and then apply a wet sponge to the file. hope that helps. sorry for the delay in response.

i loved the Recurved chopper the best! excellent try at forging ! as said earlier the kamani pattas(leaf springs) are the best for knives i even heard old steel files are equally suited for this purpose!
