I may be wrong but barrels are British , see the crowns and 12-70 means 3/4 shots.
Could you please post the pictures was the entire gun?
Be a great idea, if it has damascus barrels, could they be good for regular loads to shoot ?

Belgian proof-marks.

http://damascus-barrels.com/Belgian_All_Proofmarks.html

Lyon and Lyon were retailers like Army & Navy.AFAIK, they did not make any guns on their own.It could be a guild gun from Belgium. Not unusual. The barrels were not made in Germany. But the steel was.Krupp was a noted steel maker, based in the town of Essen.

Vikram is totally righ. Belgian made, barrels of German steel. "FlusstahL" ie." fluid steel" rules out any possibility of it being damascus. "12/70" indicates 12 ga./70mm (2 3/4") chamber; another indication it is not British. Yes, it is perfectly fine to shoot with modern loads, though not with steel shot.

It`s very difficult - often impossible - to attribute unsigned Belgian guns to a particular maker. I could suggest one or two names ...... actually four names and would be pretty sure the gun was made by one of them. I might be able to do better than that if I could handle the gun.
Is there anything written on the rib ?
It`s a quality gun however even though the engraving isn`t brilliant.
Do you know a good gunsmith who could remove the sideplates without causing damage ? Because that looks like a pinless sidelock to me.
If you manage to get the sideplates/lockplates removed check the back of the plate to see if there`s a lockmakers signature.
