I have been trying to get carbon or fibreglass arrows for the same but except for some aluminum arrows I brought paying heavily, I am disappointed. Kumar,Have you thought of making your own?I prefer to make my own, particularly bamboo arrows as I find them more durable than carbon or fibreglass even for field shooting.
If you need any info on making arrows let me know.
Regards
P.J.

Hi.P.J.
Thanks for the offer. Please give me any info on making arrows which will be help ful.
As for bamboo, I did use them in the past but when they hit a hard object they splinter. In some cases the arrow almost broke into 3/4 pieces.
I have a couple of carbon arrows, with which I dont face this problem.
I also find the cane( the ones they use for furniture) is better than bamboo.
Regards
Kumar

Hello Kumar,
I have had totaly the opposite happen with my arrows, the carbon ones shattered upon impact with the wall behind my target but the bamboo ones actualy bounced back without any apparent damage. What poundage is your bow?
Do you have access to any bamboo groves in your area and can you find a supplier for bamboo that is 3/8 of an inch thick. The way I usually make my bamboo arrows is to select them by width(3/8th of an inch) straighten them over a flame, then weigh the shafts, sand down the nodes, cut in selfnocks in the shaft right above a node.Fletch them,I prefer to use left wing turkey primary feathers,You can use anything,Vulture feathers were traditionaly used in India and Tibet.I then Taper the shafts for points or hunting broadheads.I will take pictures of the process and post them here so you will get a better Idea.

For arrows info worth checking out http://www.eastonarchery.com/ website as they are one of best makers of arrows and have good info relating to arrows size etc.
