Re: Here she is - HW45 in .22" calibre.
Hi Nikos,
Trajectory apart, the margin of horizontal error in your POI must still be pretty tight to hit cans at 55 yards. That wouldn't be possible with the sort of groups I am getting.
How are you gripping this pistol? I am especially interested in where you are placing your thumb.
I do intend ordering a .177" barrel in the future. Have you any idea what the MV of a .22 version with a .177" barrel is? The main springs can always be changed if needed.
It's good to see that the shoulder stocks are still available. Pretty tempted to get one though I am not sure how often I would use it.

Re: Here she is - HW45 in .22" calibre.
Inder,
I wanted a .177" version but BAR did not have any second hand ones in that calibre. Considering I can always change the barrel, I decided to go for this one when Lloyd quoted a fair price for this one.
Shotty fund? You think I do not have one to consider and a lot more urgently than you as it so happens. Your choice. Remember I will charge you per shot!
Actually, neither this or the shooty in India makes sense if you are going back to the States.

Congratulations Mack The Knife on a very nice looking air pistol!
I look forward to seeing some 10M groupings after you've gotten familiar with it!

"Nawab Rustom", has done it again!!!
Don't tell me you are not rich.
These pistols are expensive, even on the net cost over $339 delivered.
Good points, solid well built, extremely powerful, accurate once you get hang of this springers recoil, in short a lifetime of pleasure for you and your descendants.
Bad and very SAAAD part: Hunting is illegal, This pistol in .22 is ideal to pack on your fishing trips. Pigeons, Doves and similar critters are clean kills upto 50 feet (Had a Webley Hurricane in 22, beautiful Pigeon killer).
Good luck, enjoy it,
Satpal

Mack The Knife:
Bad Habits rubbing on me too!!
Checked local dealer, was sold out on most guns, had display models only.
Re:HW40 and Gamo my reservation is their short sighting radius and chances of inadvertadely messing with rear sight while pumping. Baikal appeared too much of a machine.
Ordered the Daisy Avanti 747 .177 match from Pyramid air. Also ordered a 6mm Airsoft Pistol by Cybergun, had to get one for shooting while at work in the office. Ordered assorted pellets too. Daisy is on back-order should get everything by end of month.
Will clean, shoot till the groups stabilize, then shoot some targets and post for you on my original thread.
Also am waiting if Webley (currently in receivership) starts production of Hurricane in .22, otherwise will get HW45 like yours in .22.
This way I will have two pistols with me when I come to India.
Like I said in "Bad & SAAD", I am too much be hit by this curse, Hint, HW45.
Have fun!!
Satpal.

Re: Here she is - HW45 in .22" calibre.
Mack The Knife,
If this were a 1911 I'd recommend this one :
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.e ... mid=528314
The complicated reason is that these have a steel plate in them which protects your hand in case you get a case rupture (usually that will blow the magazine out of the gun and shatter the grips, you can visualize the rest)
Otherwise, you can google up some bullseye 1911 grips as there are plenty to choose from out there, but I have no personal experience with them.

Rusty, like Mark said, google some bullseye or pin shooting grips or target grips for 1911s and they should work. I got this one.
Last one is $70 per set, ouch....
Here's the most interesting I found on ebay, item# 7241915577
$95
So, I searched for "Fitz grips" and found more. Item# 280068225792
This one is $24.59.
Or, if your crafty with POP, which I'm sure you are, you can fashion some up yourself.

I have to go back again for three months most probably in March or June and that time I will be traveling with family so will have more space in the luggage. Surely will try then.
