Hi Rahul,
Deleted your PM by mistake, so will answer here.
The HW45 is a very good choice provided you do not want to use it for serious 10 metre target shooting.
In India, these aren't available. Well, not as far as I know.
There are two ways you could import this air-pistol:
1) Order the .177" calibre version and have it sent by post or courier. Problem with this is that postal customs aren't aware of the amendment to the import law regarding .177" calibre air-rifles/pistols and can make you run around before releasing it.
2) Have a friend or relative bring back one for you. Airport customs are a little more knowledgeable but you may still need to go through the process of getting a NOC from the Arms Section of your Commissioner Of Police's office.

HW45
Thanks to Lloyd of B.A.R. for giving me a fair deal on a second-hand HW45, which for all intents and purposes is as good as new and my brother for bringing it down. His SMS after clearing customs at Bangalore read something like, "Customs was a breeze. Next time let's get a Kalashnikov!"
Yet to try it on paper and will revert after a few days of grouping and plinking.
Waited 21 years to get this pistol and it's good to finally have one in my hands.
Inder, I know your time is running out in the U.S. but if you can get Straight Shooters or one of the other online shops to send you one by next day delivery, I suggest you get yourself one. Remember to buy an airline approved gun case and a padlock. The case you see here probably costs about $10.00 in the U.S.. I am pretty sure Lufthansa will permit you to put this in your suitcase, so you wont have to pay for extra baggage. However, do check before placing the order.

Hi Denzil,
Yes, it was ordered online.
As for the cost, that is a private matter. However, a new one retails for 180 or 185 Pounds Sterling.

Badshah,
Here's a couple of close-ups just for you.
BTW, are you from Dubai? If so, is there any truth in the rumour that air-pistols are now more or less banned there because the local kids were found to use them a bit irresponsibly?

Re: Here she is - HW45 in .22" calibre.
This air-pistol is going to take some getting used to since the recoil tends to torque it out of your hand as I only use a one hand grip. The lack of a thumb rest also feels a bit odd and I have yet to decide how exactly to grip this pistol to get more consistent results.
The trigger is good but a match trigger it most certainly isn't.
Most of the errors seen in the pic below are mine, though there were a couple of occassions when I thought I did everything right but the pellet did not hit where it was supposed to.
God alone knows how Todd Cooper and Crete manage to hit tins 50 metres away. If this is the best I can do with it, I'd be happy to hit cans at half the distance.
