Nice... Rhandle, your Gurkha looks very familiar, think I saw it at a NIOC outing this summer, July I think? :)

Cheers!

Well if you have seen this vehicle in Delhi and NIOC meet then it has to be me!!

What do you think about the vehicle?
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”

Great video..so are these still being made and available? Also any chance TATA will introduce Land Rover Defender?

You are correct about beefed up luxury SUVs in US..a friend of mine bought GM Suburban only to find all of the soccer moms ride the same...I personally prefer minivans for folks in suburbs once can move the seats around and load bigger packages..
Guess every one to their own..

Cheers

Grewal Ji This vehicle is also available and so is the Defender. The only difference being defender is 8-10 times costlier than Gurkha.

Here are few videos on Gurgaon Faridabad road another regular NIOC haunt. All these videos are of the same place.

1. Vehicles trying to go up a sand hill:

2. Gurkha climbing in reverse at sand hill

3. My wife driving it for the first time:

This vehicle can be very capable if in right hands.

ngrewal,
you're right about s.u.v.s and soccer moms, most of those big ford and chevy "tanks" never set a wheel off paved roads. add to the owner list the "surburban commandos" who buy them because they look "macho". my s-10 blazer was a utility vehicle and did go up in the woods often. i like to think i'm a competent driver, last time i checked i had something over a million miles behind me, driving everything from tractor-trailers to motorcycles, and including a light bulldozer as well as a half track and a ford m-20 armoured scout car. if i could afford the price of a gurkha, and get it imported i think the gurkha and i would get along nicely.

rhandle,
"thumbs up" salute to your lady, and "well done", and if a compliment is not out of place she's a handsome lady, you chose well, just as i did 43 years ago, i wish you as many good, happy years together as my wife and i are still enjoying.

gunner

I liked those GM Blazers, I tend to see quite a lot of Honda Ridgelines, GM Avalanche the trucks with full cabin in NYC Manhattan of all the places...

Second gunners comments thats a great video and Gurkha..and I wouldnt dare to drive have unpleasant memories of a tractor I once nearly over turned understand these two are very different vehicles. The chap who owns Force motors is supposed to be very approachable and had read on some car forum that they are having production issues, did they win an Israeli contract?.
Any pictures of Defender, again I was hoping TATA would introduce a cheaper version of this vehicle.

The best I guess is one made by Mercedes G series SUV there must be few in India..

Best
