Hi Antiglobalist,
The international BLOG for getting people together is a great concept, perhaps we should start one, between India & Pakistan.
If I come across anything new, will direct your attention to it.
Regards

Re: Guns are not enough
I have proposed a method of organized civil disobedience called "nullification" here in Texas at http://www.statesman.com/opinion/nullif ... 21199.html . I would appreciate comments about adapting it to India and other countries.

I would say maybe 2004 to 2006 would have been a good time to start that, but right now this has gone too far and thus, your suggestion, while commendable is too little too late. It has to go global now and it has to address the problem directly and quickly and that is why I propose a people to people initiative to totally by pass the gov leaders.Jon_Roland wrote:I have proposed a method of organized civil disobedience called "nullification" here in Texas at http://www.statesman.com/opinion/nullif ... 21199.html . Without our coooperation they cannot conduct anymore war and murder anymore people in any country. I think the starting of the initiative between Pakistand and India is great. I have someone overseas considering doing asia and I am trying to start a blog soon for the US, Canada, and Mexico to begin such an initiative. Then we need to find someone in Europe and Russia. I will definitely report back our progress and would appreciate the same for those over here.

All politics is local, and ultimately it doesn't really matter what people think who don't vote or affect who gets elected or appointed to public office. Sharing ideas among people everywhere is a good thing to do, but each is going to have to get things done starting at his own local level. Power goes to those who do the work. It is generally a waste of time to urge reform actions on others if one doesn't provide the exact and complete language of such reforms. Urging others to do something for you generally winds up as getting them to do something to you.

Creative thinking and working outside the box is never a waste of time. Only those things that have been tried before and failed are a waste of time if we continue to do them with no results. You cannot CONDUCT A WORLD WAR IF NO ONE COOPERATES. What if you declared war and no one showed up to fight it????Jon_Roland wrote:All politics is local, and ultimately it doesn't really matter what people think who don't vote or affect who gets elected or appointed to public office. As Ron Paul about grassroots movements internationally. He had meetups all over the world and his movement grew at such a rapid pace that the power of it intimidated the neocons and corrupt in our system, that they had to move and act quickly to bury him and he still raised thirty milllion dollars in less than a year to run hs campaign. So, I don't agree that these grassroots movements can not succeed in this day and age of technology, the globe has become "LOCAL".

I forgot to mention, this isn't about "POLITICS", this is about survival of all nations given the potential for nuclear war. Its beyond politics, its now up to us to save ourselves.... we have met who will save us and its us working TOGETHER multimillions strong against the 4,000 international bankers and the leaders of the countries they have bribed, threatened or blackmailed.
It not only can be done, they are afraid we will figure it out and do it.

Here is what I just found on the initiative between India and Pakistan. I am going to contact them to see if we can expand it to global. Will let you know what they say.
