Welcome to IFG, Ashraf.

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Ive also seen pics of amazing fishing to be had there.

whats the forest cover over there like?
whats the impact of the tsunami on the wildlife?

thanks for the warm welcome guys !!!!
ticky: the gun scenario is virtually non existant here, only a handful of people interested in air guns,
and procuring the licence for a firearm for self protection is also pretty tough , got mine very recently.

shooter: the british introduced deer here, and they are in plenty in the foests but definitely not a menace, as they come under scheduled species lot of conservation efforts are being done to prevent their illegal poaching.
the marine life is awsome here with lots of game fishes availabe like mahi mahi, tuna, baracuda etc., BTW, we are very well known for serving the best seafood in the islands, uploading some pics for you :)
the forest cover is pretty dense, the tsunami's impact on the wildlife was restricted to certain islands which were totally devasted by it, and of course the coral beds were disturbed but according to recent surveys by the ZSI it is known that the coral beds have developed and they have discovered some new varieties also.

Hi Ashraf!

Always wanted to visit Andamans. Can you please give us more information regarding it. Like how does one reach there, when is the best time, places to be visited, good lodging, good food, etc., etc. Thanks in advance.

nice to hear that you wants to visit the place !
well from B'lore you can come down to chennai and take Indian airlines or KF flights, the journey is of 1hr 52 min from chennai,
it is peak season here rt now and will continue till april, make a programme for at least a week so that you can cover almost all
the tourist spots here.

and mate are you asking a hotelier his views on good lodging & food ? :deadhorse:

Welcome abord IFG Ahraf. I was just reading about the Andamans the other day when the last member of a very ancient tribe passed away. I'm sure it is a beautiful place which I hope to visit some day. Is there a shooting range or a gun shop in the Andamans ?
