Another Diana added to the collection.....

Post by fantumfan2003 » Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:00 pm

This one more sought after than the cult classic Diana 35.....

THE DIANA 27

in .177 cal. as usual....

Some restoration work needed but nothing impossible for me.....

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Congrats on your growing acquisitions but please let it not be at others' expense.

Manish,
Since youare a Diana fan, have you comapred Diana to HW. I had the oppurtunity of shooting a 350 Magnum and i was impressed with the power and ease of cocking. But the looks of a 350 are silly i feel.
Lets hear from on your comparision and why you feel Diana is better.

Amer,

Its an issue of availability. I managed to acquire Diana's because they were available. I'd love to own Weihrauchs as well, but have not got them...I do see some light at the end of the tunnel with one Weihrauch !!!!!!!!

I'd like to believe the Weihrauchs are better than Dianas but have not seen many Weihrauchs to know that.
The Diana's in my collection are from 1968 to 2009 and I can't find fault with any of them.

Here is a pic I took with the mobile when I got. It was painted with a rusty surface underneath it.
The owner had not cared for it at all. I have since removed the paint and rubbed it down with oil and wool.
I will need to blue it and get a replacement stock for it. If anyone has a Diana 27 stock lying around (or a Diana 27 stored as a bunch of spares), drop me a PM.

Oh and at first glance it appears that it has a lot of interchangeable parts with my Diana 24. Need to reconfirm that though.....
