Happy 60th...

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Fog, fog and more fog. 50 mtr visibility. Doordarshan concentrating on kids, VIP's in attendance and not the actual program. Lesser battalions in parade, a few extra columns from the Armoured Core, A few extra columns from DRDO showcasing their "excellence", A small fly past ( One big boy formation-IL76, Dornier, AN-32; One spearhead formation of 5 Jaguars; One formation of an AWACS and 2 SU-30s (which the commentator deduced as a refueling mission); final formation of 3 SU-30s in Trishul formation and the lead SU-30 doing a vertical charlie.) No para commando's from last time, Bravery awards kids on Army gypsies and not on elephants, SPG's openly wearing their Tavor, NSG commandos wearing shooting glasses and a new weapon which I was not able to deduce.

If anything else comes to mind, will post an update.

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
