Maybe people were more active working on the proposed changes to the firearm law. Did you have any queries? Even you can add things to liven up the board you know.

Dear Sallu
The gun factory works as per serial number. if you will call them and ask for current serial number, they will tell you a serial number, means up to that serial number they have confirmed delivery date and sending call letter.

Its not too difficult to understand, please take help of others.

i dont know why you all are making such a fuss!
You want to buy the great ashani, you've made your payments, so whats the hurry?
Let the bengali babus decide the date and go get it.
btw, i waited 9 months, got the pistol, and am happy after putting about
250 rounds through it.
For the price you are paying i think its worth the wait

cheers
Parag

i got my ashani last year at that time the waiting was 9 months, i don't know the status now.
about the extension of purchase period - they extend it for 3 months only at a time so i had to get it extended 3 times, i think you'll also have to do the same.

Hi Sallu, please go through Bhaskar's post on this topic in page 6. Hope that will help you. Visit Kolkata one day before your collection date and first go to Arms Act Department, Lalbazar at 11 am and collect the TL from there. On the collection date visit the factory at 8:30 am with original Arms licence, NOC, TL, GSF's letter issued to you and attested copy of Arms licence.
