Re: National Association for Gun Rights India
How does one become a life member / annual member of National Association for Gun Rights India? How often do you meet annualy and where?

The points discussed are very relevant . I inherited 6 weapons from my father and my grandfather. Had to sell three and now have the remaining three. Interestingly all the weapons were previously on an All India licence. The first licence I got was for the state of U.P. The second and third for the (smaller) state of Uttarakhand. What is the point of keeping a weapon when I can not drive around with it. Fortunately Uttarakhand is one of the safest states in the country as far as crime goes.

Highly commendable indeed......

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Yes NAGRI is in inception stage. Its coming into being coz of proposed amendments to arms law by MHA. First meeting of NAGRI was held in Delhi on 17th Jan 2010. You can read summary of the meeting in first post of this thread.prashantsingh wrote:I am a bit confused. Probably because I have just come in . Is NAGRI in the inception stages?
Hope its clear now.

CLEAR AS CRYSTAL. Congrats and keep the good work going. Let me know when you are opening up the membership for the "commoners", so that I can join. Read some big names there.....including the local boy Jaspal Rana.

Arre Bhai, I am not opening anything. Its a collective effort by the (name of) people you read in that list. I am a commoner like you, even lesser than you. Even I am waiting for membership to open so that I can join.prashantsingh wrote:CLEAR AS CRYSTAL. Congrats and keep the good work going. Re: National Association for Gun Rights India
If Re 1 membership could also be done for economically backward sections of society in urban areas. There is also a proposal for a (slightly limited) non-voting rights membership of Rs. 1/- which is geared towards helping us drive membership in the rural areas (our core supporters).

NAGRI is in the process of getting registered. Once that's done, membership will be open for one and all. Please wait for some more time for the details.asmatpawle wrote:Is membership is open if so what is the prosedure?

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
