Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

In business, being the first doesn't mean anything. Getting it right is the recipe that defines everything.

Re: Hi
Well I am new to Indians for Guns and still haven't got the hang of it. This snap of mine has been put up by Shooters who is an Orkut friend . I will surely share my experiences with everyone over a period of time as I get "user friendly" with IFG. In South Africa and in most other parts of the world (where hunting is LEGAL) Trophy Hunting goes by the Book. There are very strict rules which have to be followed. I like to call it "Ethical" hunting. "Sun Down Gun Down ", "Never shoot a female" , "Shoot only the older males"."Hunt only during the hunting season" and "Never shoot a sitting bird" are few of them. If hunting is a game then give the animal a chance . It should not be one sided. In the open Savana grasslands of Africa it is easy to spot animals. It is also easy to get spotted by the animals. So when you are hunting you have to use a lot of precautions so as to get close to the animal. You also have to take shots at an average of 100 to 250 yards plus . Interestingly a part of the money earned from hunting goes back into conservation and THAT I feel is the most important thing.
