How to Convert my DBBL license to Pistol ?

Hi Guys,
I have a firearms Licence for 2 NPB and 1 DBBL weapons.Now i am planning to buy a pistol next month.Now that i already have 3 weapons limit.

1.How can i get a pistol licence on this basis or
2.Is their any procedure to convert my or change my DBBL license to Pistol .I dont mind selling my shotgun or cancel my DBBL license and taking pistol as my third weapon now.whats the best procedure guys.

Well since no one answered your question so far:
What is the exact NPB weapons you have listed on the license? Any NPB may be changed to another type so long as permission can be obtained for the same and the reason for the original license being issued is not compromised.
For example if your original reason for obtaining a NPB DBBl Gun was "competition in skeet shooting" and the license was issued for that reason, then now wanting to change the firearm to say a revolver, will not be accepted, unless the reason for its issue is also changed because a revolver would not normally satisfy the requirements of skeet shooting .

If you already possess a handgun based on your other NPB licenses/endorsements on existing license, then getting another of the same designation will require an explanation. for example, you may need two or more handguns if you are a competitor in more than one handgun disciplines. Now, the Arms Law does not define the quantity of each "Type" of firearm a licensee is allowed to possess so long as the total does not exceed three for licensees(+ a .22 Bore Rifle for Rifle club members). "Type" here refers to Pistol/Revolver(Handgun),Rifle,Gun(SBBL,DBBL,Muzzle Loading).

Yeah ur right !I was issued license based on Self protection and sports category...this is what i wrote on my license form.
2NPB's i have are one 375 rifle and a .22 rifle.and 1 DBBL is S*S English make.Iam not a member of any club in the country.What do u think is the best way to get my pistol on my license...or do u think i can take my DBBL and try for a pistol Licesne again.

Since you already have 3 firearms you will have to sell or transfer one of these three to be able to buy a handgun.

If you become a member of NRAI or state rifle association,you can get a license for a .22lr rifle as a fourth gun.So,get a membership,transfer the pistol in place of the rifle and then get the .22lr back.

BTW,would love to see the pictures of your .375 and the SXS.Thank you.

Without joining the club nor applying for a 4th license cant i just take off my DBBL and have pistol in its place
