Muela - Inox Knives in India
For all those interested in Muela - Inox range of knives, please check the below-mentioned site. The name of the company is Basecamp traveller, which has shops in 4 cities(as per my latest info.) Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurgaon and Hyderabad. They also sell online. The range is limited, but beggars can't be choosers, right !! They sell Victorinox blades and other mountaineering stuff. Happy shopping.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

2 thousand, for these knives are really very good price, no doubts. Muela use their own steel with vanadium and molybdenum.

It is the same price that you would pay for them in a shop.Factor in the cost of shipping and in fact it works out more expensive buying from them.

Re: Muela - Inox Knives in India
Basecamp traveller has only 3 different models (in the Delhi store). One looks like
a) the kirpan, model looks like one made a few years ago by Victorinox,
b) the one on the website, and
c) a smaller version of b.

Re: Muela - Inox Knives in India
went today to GVK ONE in HYD and got these three knives
they did not have bigger, kirpan one in stock but after I strolled for 15 min they brought it from somewhere. knives coming not sharpened, steel is great, after one hour or so I got quite exceptional edge by using DMT diamond stones.
Not exactly my type of knives, but I'm sure family members would love them.

Re: Muela - Inox Knives in India
thanks m24
cutting report
cutting bottle of a water was an easy thing.
I'm sure it can do 3-4 at once ... just do not have more

Kinda flimsy for my taste. I prefer simple looking ones that cut good. But these are cool. Nice buy Subal !! Good on ya !

Re: Muela - Inox Knives in India
Wishing you all a happy new year !!!
Visited GVK ONE mall (Hyderabad) yesterday. Purchased a Muela 5161 knife. Will be posting the pics soon.
The shopkeeper was singing praises of Subal das.
Can someone tell me if the markings on the knife are laser engraved or printed ?
Jay.
