No MRP on Cartridge box ???????????

Post by sudesh » Mon Dec 21, 2009 8:53 pm

Hello Ifgians,

A question came to my mind that, why therez no MRP on the ammunation box, produced by Khadkee factory and shaktiman aswell ?
At the other hand our Dear Government is advertizing JAGO GRAHAK JAGO !!! :irule:
I mean, our honourable government itself is creating a joke.
I pay Rs 65 for a shaktiman cartridge, whereas the dealer gives me a reciept of Rs 28 including VAT. :? WTF is going on guys.
I want to file a case, but against whom? either the Hon. Govt or The Arms dealer ?
Plz let me know.

Guys correct me if i am wrong, I had never seen Mrp printed on the cartridge box. Does anyone of you have ?

Hi Sudesh,

As far as I know, prices are never mentioned on any ammo box. BTW, Rs 65 for a Shaktiman cartridge is a way too high. In Chennai, we get it for around Rs. 50 (rounded off) a cartridge. But, there could be variation in the price in other states because there are local taxes as well. Dealers always give receipts for a lesser amount saying that the actual cost will attract more tax. Edited. If you are planning to file a case involving KF, it should be against IOF, and if it's Shaktiman, then Dwaraka Arms Mfg company, Bellary.

Regards,
Ebenezer

Much as i feel that the cartridges are being sold at rates higher than they should be, i feel that now a days arms and ammo shops hardly have any sales - no hunting - where will they use the cartridges????
such being the case i feel that their survival depends on the meager sales they make.
just my thought.

sniper , sales are still there. it is just that most arm dealers are shopkeepers who would rather make a killing when they can . the reason is that our gun laws do not give us the scope and freedom needed. until they do ask any guy who is a powder head but not a renowned shot where he gets his ammo.
