Arminius made 7 shot revolvers.Erma revolvers are all 6 shot.Typically Erma NIB .32 revolvers go for 1.5-1.6 lakhs and Arminius between 1.9-2.10 lakhs.

Don't be taken in by the dealers story.Just plain BS.

Firearms can only be imported on TR (besides by Renowned Shot category shooters) and these can't be sold for the life time of the importer.

Arminius is made by a German company. Keep this in mind; if you break a part or lose a spring, where will you get replacements from?

As for the 2009 date; I though it was illegal to import weapons for sale to the general public. So unless this guy has a convincing story, it either a Desi copy or illegal.

Please read this for more info on Arminius revolvers: http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?p=16865

I don't have a crystal ball into which I can look and answer your question.Unless you post some photos. No one can.But this much I can say

1.It is not from 2009

2.It is overpriced by a fair margin.

My advice, get an IOF .32 revolver.

Anyone can buy replacement grips and change the originals. I believe Weihrauch was the manufacturer of the Arminus range of revolvers, your best bet would be to write to them with the serial no. and ask them to provide details on the date of manufacture etc. http://www.weihrauch-sport.de/

It should read Arminius and not Arminous.

Weihrauch started making revolvers under this brand name in the 1960.The name was originally used by a Friedrich Pickert in the pre war days.It was made in .22LR (8shot) and .32 S&W Long (7Shot).As the web page posted by Abhijeet shows, they are no longer making any .32 S&W Long revolvers.

Arminous does rhyme with anonymous

I hope it is not a blank firer.

Navjot,

Did you import it or you're selling it on somebody's behalf?? As there is an import restriction, how is this new gun in the market??

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
