So be prepared for zero privacy of your emails. If you value your personal privacy, you can use http://lavabit.com/
Reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavabit It uses Asynchronous_encryption, means even lavabit.com cannot read your emails.

While I understand security reasons, I am quite apprehensive about potential for abuses and the very thin line between vigilance and intrusion. I am also not convinced about reddressal mechanisms. Thank you GBM for pointing this out.BTW, the only the paid Lavabit email accounts use Asynchronous_encryption.Not the free versions.
