Hello friends,
In Kanpur there are full fledged Armory shops.... 'line se' in every 'gali & koocha' of MESTON ROAD hardly 2 to 3 KM from Railway Station. I suggest you guys go there after picking up your weapon and get ammo, holsters etc. from there. You will get good quality. You can also check out Revolvers / pistols etc with them. You can easily reach the station from MESTON ROAD... hardly 10 to 15 mins by auto.
Also, lot of leather shops are there... if u want u can get something for your family too :) ...
Kind regards...

Hi everybody,I have finally returned after getting delivery of my long awaited FGK revolver.Friends the process is smooth (bumpy for some)and the system stinks of indian babuism.Me and two more guys underwent some trouble. In my licence they complained of overwriting and objected to licence from KATHUA(J&K),this place was black listed by them.I stayed tight lipped at first afterwards could'nt stay from telling them that they were running a shop to sell arms and not a LICENCE SCRUTINY AGENCY and that i can very well get a rev. from outside shop at a higher price and that they couldnt stop me.Finally they agreed.A sikh gentleman had trouble as his DD was of Rs82511instead ofRs82512/-THE BABU could have pointed this in the intimation earlier. He had to run to get a dd of Re1/-with help of a dalal finally managed it.
Dalals are everywhere at the main gate.I managed to get ammo @Rs52/-from Sri Durga(name posted by ravineet). They are mainly intrested in making T.L.as i had ALL INDIA i was not their game.PALs do report on time and date.A WARNING is pasted for persons coming after intimated date that their number stands cancelled and new waitlist will be issued after their reporting.
A national security commando(NSG) was also taking delivery and was supprised that no bullets were being provided. His brother had been robbed of his rev.2 years ago few yards from the main gate,so there must be somebody with u
The acessories provided are of good quality. All revolvers are test fired and smell of machine oil lubricant and need good cleaning.Carry a soft cleaning cloth spare to avoid stains on clothes. All the rev. were heavy on springs and had a heavy trigger. It took around 3 hours to come out finally for all of us.15 rev.'s were issued that day before noon shift.

Hi pointblank
Congrats
Delivery date of my 0.32 SAF Revolver is in next month 2009-10-28
Is laser pointer compatible with this?

If yes what would be the cost of the same and how can I get and fit to my toy?

With regards

Guys
Happy Deepavali

I would know a small information whether the same bullet is used in .32IOF revolver and .32 S&W.
If not what is the difference.

Hello Arjun,
Happy Deepawali to you too...

in .32 IOF revolver it is advised to use only KF ammunition - no imported stuff [it will damage ur weapon] ... if u use - it is entirely upon ur risk, responsibility & cost...

in .32 S & W it is advised to use only imported stuff like magtech and all... no Kf stuff [it will damage ur weapon] ... if u use - it is entirely upon ur risk, responsibility & cost...

for detail reading, i suggest you to read the following thread:

.32 S&W KF vs Imported ammo

Best regards...

No difference.By .32 S&W I am assuming that you are referring to the S&W Long

Thats BS and that is putting it mildly. If a revolver chambered for .32 S&W Long is in good condition it should be able to fire both the KF and imported stuff without any problem.

BTW Magtech is cheap ammo. and not quality stuff as some would have you believe.

As far as Olly's take on KF ammo is concerned, may be did not like it because it is not shinny enough ROTFL

Dear gun gurus
There are two type of bullet shown on the site of IOF

http://ofbindia.gov.in/products/data/am ... /sc/12.htm

Which bullet is right for IOF revolver long or short one?

Please don’t laugh at me if question is wrong
Because I am beginner / baccha in this field :D :D

Any revolver chambered for .32 S&W Long can also fire .32 short ammo. So the IOF .32 revolver can shoot both theoretically speaking  . The IOF site mentions the .32 short ammo, however I have not seen any in the market .

best,

Rp.
