Not from any personal loss. It's a well know fact that any scent on your hands gets transfered to the bait. From what I have found my ciggies aren't having an adverse effect. However, I have rubbed on a strong mosquito repellant, such as Odomus, I wipe my hands in water and then rub then in mud or soil.Ah, but how do you know that?

Mehul,
Years back when I lived with my parents I used to pinch my father's Romeo Y Julietas.
The first time I lit up in the toilet and finished the entire Churchill in something like 45 minutes. I could barely make it back to the bed - a distance of approximately 1 metre.
Here's to good times!

That's odd because Prathap does not have 12 lb Berkley Trilene and I don't recall giving you mine.Mack The Knife-I think it was the 12 lb-er trilene.
If it's a light minty green colour it's 15lb Mustad.

Mack The Knife,
Now there's a man after my own heart! I still smoke Cohibas when I visit Toronto - they are illegal here - and every time it is the cost of smoking the things that gets my mind working properly.
Your first time experience is the same that a friend of mine had when he tried a much cheaper cigar - a Dutch Henri Wintermans - but this was on the Besant Nagar beach.
I had a time walking the character back to the car about two furlongs across the sand back to the road.
Cheers!
PS You might find that a good cognac goes better with a cigar than whisky.

WHISKY!!! A single malt stands aloof from the blended crowd. Never mind what it says on the tin.
I recall those Winterman cigars - reddish with gold lettering elliptical tin? They were smaller weren't they? At least your friend did not have to smoke a whole one stuck in a toilet without an exhaust fan!

Well, as Grumpy knows, I am a Philistine about whisky. I like cheaper ones like Cutty Sark etc though Grumpy gifted me some high end whisky to educate me on the subject.
However, cigars and cognac do seem to go together very well - Georges Clemenceau, Winston Churchill and many others testified to it.
Cheers, buddy!

Re: Some pics from last weekends fishing trip
OT but since we are yakking about Single Malts and Whiskies, I found two interesting brands at a friend's place recently.
The first is a pair of Glengoyne bottles - modern and old.
Next is a bottle of Kuch Nahi
I don't know if you know the story behind Kuch Nahi but apparently it was brought out by a Sardar based in the U.K.. You know the Indian habit of saying "Kuch Nahi" when they are asked what they will drink. This must have really gotten to said Sardar because he had these bottled and labeled as such. No longer available, at least at Heathrow, so must be a collectors item now.
