Pic's of my Spanish Shotgun

Post by herb » Mon Sep 07, 2009 10:33 pm

Sharing pictures of another Spanish shotgun of mine. This one is made by Casa J. of Eibar, Spain. Haven't shot this gun in a long long time and I am thinking of using this gun for pheasant this year. I think Casa J. is a lesser known gun maker from EIbar who is no more in business.

That looks very sweet, Herb! It must be a real pleasure to shoot. Thanks for this!

Nice looking gun,Herb. Eibar is/was home to a lot of gun makers who made guns of varying degrees of quality.Just too many from that place. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Vikram - Yes, lot of makers from Eibar from the 40's to the 80's till the DIARM experiment, this gun was made in the 80's and Spanish quality from that period is always suspect. The bores are in mint condition and action is very tight, should be okay for an occasional Pheasant hunt.

ngrewal - Here in Canada sometimes old guns come up for sale by individuals at cheap prices. Since this was a seven pin sidelock, I grabbed it to add to my collection although the quality is so-so.

Thanks guys...

Kasim - No, I picked this gun here in Canada. Bringing a gun over from India is not cost effective.
