Pics from CZHarry

Post by CZHarry » Mon Feb 09, 2009 12:25 am

Thank you for the welcome. Here are a few pics I have now. I will update as I take more.

A CZ-50 in .32 cal.
Image

A pair of CZ-75B's. The top one is my .40S&W, and the lower one is a 9mm (9x19) I bought for my wife.
Image

The upper pistol is a Ruger P94DC in 9mm, and lower is a Taurus PT-140 in .40S&W. The Ruger is a bit on the
clunky side, and the Taurus is DAO (double action only) and conceals well.

Image

This is an Italian Tanfoglio Witness Compact in .45. It is light weight and is quite unpleasant to shoot. I'm ordering
a slip-on grip to take a bit of the sting out of the recoil.

Image

This my Colt Model 1911. It was made in 1920, and has been somewhat customized. I love this pistol, it is a pleasure to shoot.
Image

I thought I'd also add this pic of me shooting a Russion Mosin Nagant M-44 carbine. If one waits till dusk,
the experience is quite spectacular visually as it tends to throw out a fireball from the muzzle.

Thank you for the compliment. I have taken a few more pics of the 1911, hopefully showing additional details.
Like I said, it is my favourite, but I feel guilty about hogging so much space.

Ashok, I was using Russian 7.62x54r military surplus. I have more, from another purchase, which might be Romanian or one of those other soviet bloc nations. It's cheap but corrosive, & cannot be reloaded (berdan primers).

Nice collection,Harry. I like that muzzle blast. When taken in real darkness that must be a delightful spectacle.

I heard that a Weatherby .378 magnum hurls out an impressive fire ball a couple of metres.

Best-
