Diana mod. 36

Post by vivek009 » Mon Nov 27, 2006 7:02 pm

friends,

I have a quote for the model 36 from Diana's official dealer in India, which is 34,000 for 0.22 cal. Considering that procuring it on-line from a US store and then asking someone to carry it to India is out of the question, is the quoted price ok? Also, has anyone tried the gun? what's the feedback?

Hi vivek,

As regards your question, I am sure Mack The Knife will respond to it in detail if he has the time.

Just a point 34K is quite expensive,if you ask me, for a diana 36, For about 30-35K you can get a Diana 52 in Bangalore..Or a HW 35 if you prefer a break barrel..

I have shot with the diana 36 a friend of mine had it in Munich, its a good gun for general plinking in your home/ terrace..easy to load, light and good enough accuracy to have fun with..can mount a cheap scope without worry of breaking it..The one I used was having a really cheap Narconia or something scope very cheap one...but the one I used was in 4.5 mm cal.

However, in my opinion, you could do the same with a National air rifle for under 5K

Hi Vivek,

The dealer is talking through his hat. Not a Rupee over Rs.25,000.00 and that includes a good gun bag and 5 tins of RWS or H&N pellets.

If you have a 34k to burn look at the Weihrauch HW77K, HW97 and HW80K.

The HW97 does not come with open sights. It is a scope only air-rifle, so factor in the cost of scope and mounts as well if you want one.

You should get any of the three Weihrauchs for Rs.30,000.00

Welcome to IFG.

Yes, the dealer is in Pune. Diana's website has the address and the email. While I would prefer HWs myself, how can you acquire those in india? Any contacts, dealers, etc.?

regards
Vivek

They are available in Bangalore from time to time. Pretty sure the Poona dealer may also be able to get you one.

Hey man what to do too much time on my hands
;-). And I don't know why I have such a missionary zeal to this. But its like Richard Bach's Illusions; you can't do the learning for them.

I bought diana model 35 with diana telescope from dubai in 17,000 Rs. The dealers in india ask too much price for diana air guns but if you buy in india from any dealer then you have to give between 30,000 to 35,000 Rs.

Danish,

That's why I will not buy the Brno  Get's the dealers goat if you tell them that you have bought direct from a seller(individual licensee).
