Good to see that our neighbours have an active Internet gun forum. I for one have always found the posts by our Pakistani members to be interesting and informative.
Cheers!

They can't believe the prices people have to pay for firearms in India either.

Interesting find. Was pleasantly surprised by the way in which some members responded about us.

Some of the posts are incredibly childish.

Intresting board, very liberal gun ownership laws....for the well off folks atleast, they can own almost anything from a 22 LR to a AK,all handguns are NPB...hunting season is supposedly regulated, but from the pics there dont seem to be any bag limits......the Gov seems to make some money from this too....

A couple of them are members here who always were polite, well informed and friendly.A lot more gun friendly than India.
Sanjay, that has been my impression too.The hunting seems to be little regulated despite seasons etc in place.

is it not true when they say we indians not having a second line of defence.is our leaders not knowing this fact that our neighbouring countries are heavily armed and they are depriving us from defending our country and our lives at the time of need, by not arming us.

Its a informative website seems like they have a gun quota on how many guns can be imported from each country say US etc and US guns command higher excise and are expensive. Read a lot about how Taurus guns from Brazil are doing great.
Yes some post are chauvinistic no better or worst than the jingoism rampant on Indian forums like Bharat Rakshak. But even there members do correct issues and point out how India has won Olympic medals.
There is a link to an hunting outfit that arranges hunts in Pakistan.
Cheers

I fully agree with Saahil, that Indian government is depriving the 2nd line of defense, by discouraging gun ownership and all that crap of "Prohibited Bore". Concept of prohibited bore was introduced by British rulers as they did not want civilian rebels to be able to use ammunition clandestinely supplied from sympathatic Indian soldiers in the armed forces. The present government is not ruling a colony, it is a democratically elected government, then why is it enforcing this?
Yes we do have "rebels" operating in India in form of terrorists/naxals etc., but they are not getting any supply of ammunition from our armed forces, instead are getting those very prohibited bore arms/munitions in sufficient quantity from foreign powers.
The "Prohibited bore" concept and outdated firearm licensing policy started by our colonial rulers is certainly depriving Democratic Republic of India, of an effective second line of defense.

It's because the (in)famous Steel Structure are brainwashed to 'follow the rules' and not to understand them or to make others understand them. Besides, I think our politicians must have a look at the thread and make gun ownership a widespread phenomenon in India. If it means offence, then let it be, but I didn't like the post:
After all, it's hard to believe any responsible and educated gun enthusiast may comment like that.

Are there no members in our forum who know some politicians/bureaucrats/media and make them read and understand all this and make a difference? I am sure there are some.

Ok forget the AKs, G3s and M16s... just look at the number of H&K pistols...
...and here? We had one friggin' 20+ year old HK4 (maybe the only one in the whole of India) in Bangalore going for the price of a luxury car...
