Your order will most likely be cancelled as my friend placed an order for a scope yesterday and today he was called and told that it is a restricted item and hence cannot be procured.

I enquired about a Canon MF 4350d Laser All-in-One Printer which is available for inr 16,800 from canon dealers in India.

20north price is inr 10, 100.00, shipping cost is Air - Rs. 12960, Ocean - Rs. 6128 (40 days) ... Ouch..

I will stay with the local canon dealers..

Don't buy anything from this company until it has gotten is act together, sorted out their logistics problems and understood the import laws of India.

I ordered a scope and a book on air rifles.

After giving me all possible excuses, they said scope can't be delivered because its a restricted item, the money was refunded, but it will reflect in the next statement, so I still pay for this scope this month which I did not get.

The book (ordered on 3rd of July) is going to take another 2 to 3 weeks with this creative excuse

"We are sorry to inform you that delivery of your Order No : 3941929819 (due on 10th Aug '09) has been further delayed. The shipment containing your order is held up in customs due to an error in the accompanying paperwork. The paperwork has been fixed but because of the original error the shipment needs to be cleared by a special (exception handling) process which could take another two weeks.

We understand your frustration, and we can only apologise for our mistake. It is not up to the standards we expect of ourselves and the standards you expect us to take."

SO UNTIL THESE CLUELESS WONDERS GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER, DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Don't be so afraid with these guys, i have received my knives within 15 days and many others here have positive response. you can go ahead with knives and other stuffs. Avoid airguns and scopes as they are still restricted items. you can try there live customer care chat and get the information on the products you want to buy.

When did you receive your knives ? Even I got a plastic shoulder stock from them about 45 days ago, but now the situation is bad. They have been unable to deliver me a book for more than 40 days and have been giving all sorts of lame excuses. Mind you I am not the only one who has been had. They don't walk there talk, make commitments and go back on them. Promise to call and never call. Want to know more ?

These people started off with a bang but have now seem to have lost control.

Forget this 20North website. If you are looking to get anything from US (excluding guns and scopes) go to the Dealer section in techencalve forum. Its a tech forum. There are 2 guys there who will ship you goods at a much lower price than 20North. Just send a PM to Fizzmall or KMD.

i am also having the same problems, common to all. the first bore sighter i ordered came in record time. The second bore sighter is in a lot of problems.
1. wrong product was sent, the product has to be resent from the US.
2. now, impounded by customs.
its already taken me abt 2 months.

20north started of with a bang, but now they cant handle the orders, probably busy with the import laws.

what i suggest is as a family all ifgians should boycott this site, till they straighthen things out at their corporate end.

I have a feeling that the company is rotating your money, sort of an interest free working capital. imagine a scenario of about 100 purchases being rolled back for a couple of months. it would really free money for the company of maybe Rs. 200000/- or so on a permanent basis on an average purchase of Rs. 2000/-

not too bad after all...I got my chrony today 27days after ordering on 20north...whew!...good thing is that it came well packed and in good condition... working fine.....B'lore customs took two weeks to clear it...the invoice had SHOOTING CHRONY written on it..that must have put them off...
