Subal das wrote:if she has a knife and know how to use it, those guys may end up pretty dead. In India in many families girls brought up that way as they should be shy. For example it is the whole different story in Malaysia, where girls and womans carry karambits, often with poison on the blade. After all it is family and society not a government, who decide what kind of skills are suitable for Indian woman and what not. What if I will open knife fighting school for girls. just think how such school will be overlooked in community.
I agree Bhargav, in fact I'd posted a research paper here a while back which discussed just this (victim mindset) theme. The thread is at
http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1476 - I've also attached the research paper with this posts, for easy reference.
Cheers!

Abhijeet, many thanks for the paper, may I ask your permission to furnish it for the shooting sports event proposal a few of us are planning to hold?

To the best of my knowledge the paper and it's contents are in public domain, so sure go on right ahead. Of course don't forget to give due credit to the authors/ researchers who wrote it
Cheers!
