"van ingen and van ingen, Mysore" were recognised as the premier taxidermists and their works still fetch high prices at auctions.

Their superlative skill is easily evident in their works. their specimens remain in better condition and last longer than other taxidermists and their big cat skins are easily identifiable by the lighter shade of skint han others.

They are my heroes and if any of u happen to see them, plz convey them my regards.

Re: the mahseer and large fish, I just watched a show about searching for large goonch on the Kali River. These things seem like quite the monster! Wondered if anyone had any fishing experience with large goonch?

Re: taxidermy -- the good taxidermists here in the states are able to mount the famous Western Jackalope shown here:

RE: the Wikipedia article -- Now here is where you can tell that a "flatlander," as opposed to a true Westerner, has been at work.

First of all, it is well-known that antelope and goats have horns but deer have antlers. So many of the supposed jackalopes that one sees are clearly man-made fakes, which is easily determined because they have deer antlers, not pronghorn horns.

Don't be fooled by flatland tenderfeet who try to hoodwink you with some made up thing. I have just acquired the movieThai Meethu Sathiyam and I can tell you that Rajini as a cowboy is much more believable than any supposed jackalope with deer antlers! (and he's a lot more fun to watch, too.)

It is a privilege to learn that Mr Van ingen is still alive. One of the few I will regret missing meeting in my life time, Arjun singh is the other one.A very solid link between tiger hunting days and modern times.
