Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Actually even n the US buying a full auto is fairly expensive and restricted.
The only countries in the west where it is possible to still buy full auto's are Switzerland and Luxembourg. However in Switzerland it is illegal to shoot them. Go figure..
In places like France you can still own them, provided they were bought prior to 1995... and you can still shoot them.
However full auto's are a very expensive hobby. You can easily blow through 100 rounds in a few minutes. With something like a .50 BMG a hundred rounds is at the least about $300 if you hand load...

This guy has decent amount of guns Gatling to RCL, mountain howitzers can take on brigade. There are places in Arizona and Nevada where certain folks have such an arsenal not sure whether its possible any more. Anyway myself not fascinated by assault or military guns.
