I decided to strip and tune my SPAR-177 which I got from the doc.
Here are the internals laid out.
Externally it appears to have some similarity with the IHP springers, but thats where it ends.
Notice the piston, the teflon piston seal, the top hat, the spring guide and the spring.
All these parts set the SPAR-177 apart from the IHPs and goes to show how expertise applied to a product can make a difference.
There was a minor buzz before when shooting her, which is gone now. The smoothness has improved. I have no way to know if there has been as increase on its 765fps when I got her. Because I shot off the chronometer while trying to measure the fps after the tune. Shot off beyond repair, I am dismayed to say.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.
