It's been a pleasure - thank you all

Abhijeet,
FIrst of all i would like to thank you for starting and successfully running IFG all this while.

I have gathered a lot of information from this site and have learned a lot from it and would like to thank you and IFG personally for this.

Last but not least - thank you for ensuring that IFG and GFI will continue with the same zeal and hope you keep putting your posts on a regular basis.

Thank you.

Dear Abhijeet,

I agree with Timmy's words above. When the IFG website was off , there was a feeling of emptiness which a lot of others also must have experienced. It certainly is a great pleasure to see the site back online.

Many thanks to the person who has taken on your mantle now. He is certainly doing gun lovers in India a great favor.

I sincerely wish you the very best in your new endeavor and hope you will continue to be a frequent contributor to this site.

Opensight.

Dear Abhijit, HI! Wasnt on IFG for a long time . Made a new ID with the _1 just to wish you well in your new venture. Best of luck and hope to see you around sometime. BTW I can keep my distance form Mack the knife anyways - that guy was a sore looser who you made the mistake of making a mod with too much power. He definately did not earn any goodwill for the board with his high handedness. Any ways best of luck to you once again.

Abhjieet,

First ; make no mistake that "my posts will be infrequent etc. etc... " phrase will earn you any respite.

Your decision to bolt with "do not disturb" sign has outraged me beyond any logical reaction. Gradually the outrage was replaced with shock and subsequently, grief set in. But I have realized that my right to be outraged was misplaced.

Frankly , I feel ashamed in not being able to share responsibilities which is in fact a collective responsibility of all members. Because of our lethargy , you were left to face god knows what kind of situations , which in my most frank assessment, you may never disclose here. It might have been a legal implications/notice, a domestic turmoil, pissed off by indifference/selfishness from members etc. You should have told man, you have a right to post that. you do not have any right to create a situation which you did. Do you think that wondering what kind of problem you could have landed in, checking with Mack The Knife what could have happened to you/website ,checking 5 times day from office is a fun ? We are with IFG since Yahoo E Groups days, you could have spared a thought also as to what kind of embarrassing situation we have landed in !

Abhijeet, you should not involve yourself in any great endeavor if you do not have the sense of the enormity of the task you are involving yourself into. RKBA , Shooting Sports, Knowledge of Firearms, prevention of fleecing by arms dealers, knowledge of Arms Act/Rules etc are very sensitive issues. We do not have anybody to look upon to in these matters. Come on, no body in India will answer even a simple question about firearm without trying to exploit the situation , you know that .There has to be somebody , someplace where these issues are addressed correctly. If you take the initiative and have a following driven by trust , you are supposed to stick to it. What if Subhash Bose told INA "look, I can't lead you anymore, you fend for yourself ' ?. He had a right to tell that as he was under no obligation, but could he ? He could not because he knew the importance of the vision he created in his followers on his own initiative.

IFG being back is a huge respite being no doubt to better sense prevailing in you and my sincere thanks to Mr Anonymous for his part in this. May god bless you.

And finally , Mr Abhijeet Singh, if I ever meet you, first I would treat you with your choicest food and nectar , followed by a showdown. The latter part will of course be waived if your attendance here is in order

You are more than capable of achieving success in any money making endeavor which you pursue, which you will with our best wishes. I wish you , your family all success and every kind of happiness. I also hope that we and this forum is not coming any way between your personal space and does not become a source of demand of your time.

Keep us company, cheer up and always say what you have... "Cheers" :D

Abhijeet,
What I wanted to say, most of the members here have said already. All this would not have been possible without you. In the few exchanges we have had, it was my pleasure to have interacted with you. I wish you the best in your life and hope that your posts here are more than occasional.
I Thank you for all that you have done (especially for me  )

Totally agree with Sujay on a post that makes a lot of sense.. and probably mirrors everyone's thoughts here.

Ain't that the blatant truth? It was hard to let that black cat out, and now that Sujay did, I guess it makes 100% percent meaning in reflecting the support that we could have given.
It seems right here to extend all possible support to the New Top Gun... whoever you are, you have me for any support you may need.

:cheering: Thanks for bringing the forum back up again.

I know it would have been a tough call to take,(letting go of IFG). But life beckons :) , and you do need courage to take a decision such as this. Words aren't enough to express the gratitude which most of us feel to be a part of such a community which you founded. The fact that its back up again shows your commitment to the cause and also shows the drive and willingness of the un-named gentleman who willingly took up the responsibility to keep the flag flying.

On the lighter side, handing over the reins doesn't mean you get away scott free  . You have befriended some stubborn leeches, who don't really know how to let go .

And yes there will be many more  and fun filled shooting stints schedules permitting.
Wishing you all the best in your new endeavor.

regards

Dear Abhijeet,
Thank you for this wonderful community you have created. Before this I guess we were just blowing in the wind thinking we were the only people who had such interests. And what's so surprising is that when everyone got together every one just hit it off great. Although I have been a new member and not so frequent a contributor your community has always been warm and welcoming at all times. This it self is a great achievement. I wish you all the luck in your new venture and hope to keep meeting you here at IFG.
Thanks
