It's a Winchester Model 1887/1901 lever action shotgun which was modified for the film. I'm not entirely positive on this but I believe the one used by Arnie was the later model 1901 in 10ga. They ceased production well before WW II.

Cheers!

if at all it was a real production model then seems to me a modified shotgun with a winchester lever action.

Hmmm... I'm going to need to grow a few more inches (12") to be able to do Arnie's trick..

There is a guy making shotguns of the same design NEW. Gets them made in China.

I've shot these and they're pretty cool. My friend Matt used it for deer one year, he's pretty crazy ;) Check out the rest of Cap's website, its pretty cool.

Post by pistolero » Fri May 08, 2009 11:18 pm

Hi Guys,

I am sure all you have seen Terminator2, I was really interested to know what was the make and model number of the Lever Action Shotgun used by Arnold in the Movie.

Also have any of you guys every come across this type of Shotgun in India? and if so what was the gauge?

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Regards,
Adi

It was a Winchester model 1887, modified especially so that he could flip-cock it.
