Hello All,

There are glock17 & detonics .45 gas blow-back (gbb) airsoft guns available in NCR.

These are manufactured by a chinese airsoft company, "Army armament" airsoft and the products
are R17 (glock) and R45 (detonic). The r17 model is one of the better and sophisticated models
compared to other chinese airsoft, and it has a nice blowback feel, has a metal slide & magazine,
solid powerful shooting and overall is a good product -- it has good reviews at arnie's airsoft, etc.
Both are gas blow-back (gbb) type airsoft pistols.

Due to the current ban on chinese toy products, the cost of these airsoft guns are quite high and
they are sold in the range of 6,000-7,500 INR, need to add another 1000 for the gas cylinder.

There are quite a few ARMY R17 products available with Lodhi Sports in NCR region, they are
probably the only ones having this product as the distributor sourced it only for them. Other
products like R45 & R85 (R85 is a full-metal L85 replica electric airsoft AEG type rifle with electrical
blow-back and great performance reviews & the full-metal construction makes this replica as heavy
as the original L85A1 assault rifle ) are available in some toy shops in NCR, and they may also be
available with the original distributor.

Hi Ash,

Was at Lodhi Sports, Mehrauli just last weekend (my son needed a new pair of skates) and their airsoft prices seem to have gone north - the Glock 17 was being offered for INR 8,000 (IIRC) and the green gas canister was for INR 1,500... airsoft is not my cup of chai, but I thought I'd post it here just FYI for those who enjoy this sport... :)

Cheers!

Hello Abhijeet,

Thanks for the update. Yes, the chinese toy ban has made these guys raise their prices quite a bit,
in fact, they are selling individual top-gas containers (without the airsoft gun) for as high as INR 2500.
( An airsoft shop in hongkong will sell it for something like USD 12).

It is anytime much cheaper to order them directly from offshore airsoft suppliers, provided someone is
willing to take the risk of seizure from customs, though most of these airsoft items are classified as toys.

On the same subject, Marushin ( an Airsoft manufacturer from Japan ) has introduced a new range
of Shell-ejecting Gas blowbacks in the Tokyo Toy Fair '2008. This is probably first time somebody has
introduced the same kind of replica capability as available in cap-fire or blank guns, but along with
BB launching.

They have one product in market now, the Marushin Glock21 shell-eject 8mm Gas blow-back, it is
a complete Glock21 replica, with shell-ejection, blowback, and uses 8mm BB etc,
It is a nice peice for collectors to have.

For reviews and video of the same, please look at :

Thanks,
Ashish

.. as Mundaire had mentioned in another topic much earlier, the CO shots would surely bear more expensive that what would otherwise be perceived.
Also, in recent updates I heard, I believe (actually, not yet :) ), that CO2 power lets have to be inserted only while one is ready for some action, and any pre-loading is mighty harmful for the CO2 pistol. I have reason to believe that this might be adequately true, since it comes from one of the most renowned and respected expert in the country :)

Hello,

I remember sighting an ARMY L85A1 airsoft model in one of the toy shops in Khan Market ( don't remember the shop's name, but i think it was "Gift Place" or something ). You can expect the price of this airsoft model to be in the range of 10-12K.

As this model is an electric airsoft (AEG) type, you don't need to be concerned about any Co2 powerlets or gas cylinders.

But yes, generally, with both external Co2 powerlets and internal gas cylinders, you need to be sure that there is
no gas left in the container before storing the airgun/airsoft, otherwise there will be too much pressure on the seals and can lead to their breaking and causing gas leaks within the weapon there-after. Once you are finished using the airgun/airsoft, it is advised to dry-fire the weapon till there is no gas left inside the container ( both with external c02 cylinders or internal gas cylinders ), this will prolong the longevity of the airgun/airsoft seals.

Thanks,
Ashish

Hello,

Also check at Lodhi Sports at Lodhi Colony ( New Delhi ). Lodhi sports in Mehrauli are probably selling
at higher prices.
The last i checked with them ( which was about two weeks ago), they were selling the ARMY R17 for
INR 8,500 + Tax ( inclusive of the ET-1000 Top-gas cylinder ).

Thanks,
Ashish

Most welcome scout.
The only point that I wanted to emphasize is on how much of use onewould actually put a CO2 gun into?
Instead, if funds suffice, a compressed air is much more reliable, defintely very accurate and much cheaper by the shot :)

.. All the very best...

Good quality imported German or US made CO2 air pistols come in the range of 25000 plus. They look & weigh extremely real like the Walther PPK. And they also fire extremely well. Quite a few in Mumbai. Dunno if somebody is selling those. But Im sure somebody will be. Its just a matter of knowing who is.
