Gas Ram / Gas Strut / Gas Spring in an IHP

Hi,
Is it possible to fit a Gas Strut in an IHP?
Has anyone done this?

Has anyone installed a Gas Ram in any springer.

Gas Ram is fitted in Gamo like guns....the piston has no rod and a slot in it (close to the rear thrust bearing) acts as the sear catch....
