Here is the proper description of "Katta" & "Tamancha"
KATTA ==================== Country made single barrel handgun which can hold only one round in its barrel & does not have a clip to hold more than one round....in short single round firing guns........Very unstable & can burst in ur hands as well.....take care on this one

TAMANCHA ======================= Country made revolver which has 4 to 6 chambers for holding bullets & can be used to open fire without having to pull the hammer........commonly used by dacoits & others in UP,Bihar, Rajasthan............More stable than Katta but the cartridge usually stucks in the chamber so you need to pull it with forcep.
