Hi Sniper,

My uncle has a Sujata, but it is an SBBL. Even i've been trying to get info about the DBBL. Anyway, this is a 36-inches barrel hammered gun. It is lying in our house for the past few years as my uncle hardly uses it. It was purchased in 1981 for Rs 1600 from Hindustan Sport & Armoury in Chennai. Will post pics of it soon.. I think it is manufactured in Bellary, Karnataka..
Regards,
Ebenezer

Hi Sniper,
The SBBL is easy to handle and the lightest of all Indian-made SBBLs i've handled. Though the barrel is cylindrical the patterning is good. I don't know about the recently-manufactured ones, but this one manufactured in the 80s is a real good performer.

Ebenezer

Hi sniper,

i have personally handled a sujata DBBL and i found that gun too heavy along with poor performance.it was bought by an uncle from bellary and my personal choice would be an IOF DBBL or any other lighter indian make which could give some good patterns.

cheers,
Ravi teja :)

Thanks Ravi

I just saw a Sujata last week and i must say that it is much much lighter than any other Indian DBBL. The left barrel looked a bit choked but not sure to what extent. the Right barrel is A Cylinder i guess.
