IHP National Model 25 .177 accuracy
Its a very accurate gun. I fired this 12 shot group at 10mtrs in standing position at the Savarkar range with wadcutter pellets.
Its between 1.5 and 1.75 inches.
Got to mention that this gun is used (and abused) by many other shooters at the range and is used very heavily. Making the group all the more remarkable. I have been consistently getting good groups with this gun in the past too.
This is my best ever grouping and marks my progress on to the IHP Pneumatic .177 from tomorrow.

Re: IHP National Model 25 .177 accuracy
hey good shooting.
by the way what paper do u use,it seems the fibres r unable to hold and so the punches are not quite neat,if ur rifle is shooting low fps, u cud stick masking tape behind the target covering the black circles only, this wud help u to get better neater holes.
regards sanjiv

no,its not the brown tape that is packing tape,i am asking u to try for masking tape, its white colored kinda paper tape used generally in paintbooths,u can get them easily in any automotive paint shop or stationary shop,u can tear them easily without scissors.fantumfan2003";p="46743 wrote:Sanjiv,

Re: IHP National Model 25 .177 accuracy
I have a National .177 cal and the pellets I am using are very light and irregular in shape (don't remember the brand), I paid Rs 200 for a pack of 500 pellets.
Can anyone suggest a good brand, its price and where can I buy them (I live in Delhi)?
I bought my rifle for Rs 4,000, Is it a nominal price or I paid more?
Thanks in advance!

I shot that group using GSmith P10. I also have a box of GSmith Competiton. Suggest you try those. What model is it ? IHP 35 or 25 ? If its a 25 you were probably overcharged.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Hey fantum,
My rifle is N 25 .177, so I think I was overcharged (in one of the threads the price is given as 3150)
But No issues; its a beautiful piece !

I agree its a beautiful rifle.
People have shot 10mtr open sight and won medals with N25 in .177.
That should help you in setting up a benchmark.
Its shoots well upto 25 to 30 mtrs.

Re: IHP National Model 25 .177 accuracy
Thanks man....any idea from where I can get these in Delhi?
Re: IHP National Model 25 .177 accuracy
You can try the Gsmith "Arm-o-lub" for maintenance and lubrication at hinges etc. Available at Garg Armoury, Kashmiri Gate. As the piston seal in IHP is now teflon types, do not introduce any oil in the chamber or else the gun will diesel heavily.
