Sorry mate. He said no. But here are your options, He recommends a National 25 not a 35. According to him the 35 is not very powerful as compared to the 25. 25 has a better balance as well and says the modern ones come with a synthetic washer not leather. I must stress I am not sure whether thats true for both the 25 and 35 or 35 alone.

The other option is to wait for the successor to the GSmith 350 in either caliber.

Here is my best grouping on our second session with the SPAR on our terrace.
Pellets were GSmith competition .177. They group quite well. All shooting done in sitting position.

Interesting piece indeed! Could you please ask Dr. Shirsat to share what all modifications he did to the rifle (asides from changing the barrel and adding the muzzle weight)? I'm sure many here would appreciate the info (especially current/ future IHP customers).

Hi Abhijeet

Dr. Shirsat is not in town. Will get info from him as well. The spring is an imported one and sythetic washer. More details as soon as I hear from him.

Is there some kind of a muzzle sound moderator used on this air rifle or it is just a muzzle break ? Does this gentleman in the mention Dr. Shirsat custom Air Rifles on a commercial basis as well ?

Its just a muzzle weight to improve the balance of the air rifle nothing else. Makes it look sexy does'nt it ? ; - )

I think he has sold only to me. After a lot of pestering I might add and to another chap. But he does not do customisation all the time coz he has his practice as well and is a consultant to IHP and helps helps out a lot of sport shooters with repairs of their air guns.

But I will ask him specifically again if he would be willing to do more customisation work.

Many thanks to Nagarfile for the Chrony and I tested the SPAR 177 first with it.

Used Gsmith P10 and competition pellets at a range of 20mtrs outdoors. The P10 fit loose on the SPAR and the Competition are a better tighter fit. But surprisingly it has not translated into better or worse FPS. Here are the result.

I'll now test the Diana 35 in a couple of days

Have not yet gotten around to test the Diana 35. BTW the SPAR is not quite a IHP 25. It looks similar to a 25 but a totally different animal. Its a totaly customised gun from Dr. Shirsat.

Fantum ...what is the difference between IHP25 and IHP35...does 25 shoot far enough...the IHP35B that I have as I have already mentioned before shoots good groups at 50m...

Its from AirGun 7.5.2. The SPAR looks great. If only the custom scene took off in India. Its not like we have any lack of talent or means!!

Try and coax the doc to go semi commercial.
