.38 Webbley& Scott, Mk IV
So finally it happened. Still got the buzz travelling up & down my ulner nerve initiated by the recoil of the .38; but can anyone tell me what is meant by .38/200?

Thanks Diskaon; but it's sad that the owner of the weapon is not aware of such essential details.

RottLord,
Here is a link to the wiki write up on the .38-200

I have fired it and it is a very pleasant round to shoot.You must have a very sensitive spine.

This friend of mine asked me to rest my elbow on a sort of stand; now, being the first timer, I don't know if that's how the pro-shooters shoot.

Thanks for the link, penpusher; I do not have a sensitive spine by default but it's true that I cracked one of my left ribs a few months back. However, it shall be better on your part if you can try to impart knowledge among newbies like me instead of mocking them.

I think resting the inner part of elbow on a hard surface while shooting caused your symptoms.RottLord";p="60837 wrote: This friend of mine asked me to rest my elbow on a sort of stand;
Try a double hand grip without resting elbow next time .
best,

It's all about technique, IFG member Shooter shot my .45 last weekend, and after taking the first shot double handed he switched to a single handed grip. Knocked off the bottle (we were using as a target) 3 times in a row...
Cheers!

Wait a minute, isn't .45 a prohibited bore?

Not all .45's are PB, but the one I have is a .45 ACP which is indeed a PB calibre. But so is the .38/200 for that matter... and your friend has one right? The term "Prohibited Bore" though widely used is actually not a legal term and finds no place in the Arms Act/ Arms Rules.RottLord";p="60844 wrote: Wait a minute, isn't .45 a prohibited bore?
The firearms we refer to as PB firearms are those that are covered by Schedule I category 1(b) & 1(c) and this is legally binding across across the entire union of India. However, they are not really "prohibited" in the real sense, but in stead their ownership is very tightly restricted.
Cheers!
