CZ83 Price Check

Post by HydNawab » Fri Nov 21, 2008 7:34 pm

Hi Guys

A friend of mine here in Hyd wants to sell his CZ83 32 pistol. What would be the right price to quote for this weapon. It has the a spare magazine with it.The condition is pretty good. What the dealers would call 'BRAND NEW'

I will post the pictures if someone can guide me regarding the price.

Cheers

Ashar

So Sanjay, what would be the right price to quote for the CZ?

Between 13-14?

I agree Indian.Dont mind paying that kind of a price for Beretta but certainly not the CZ.But I hear that CZ is a very rugged weapon and because of its high capacity magazine(15 rounds) is in demand in the market today.

Cheers

i think the 15 round mag is the plus point for this firearm :) but when it comes to looks and reliability,i would prefer the beretta like you :)

Single stack magazine is always more reliable than double stack, CZ 83 tends to jam after 8th or 9th round being old double stack magazine as i had experienced in range , yes people do have fancy for 15 rounds but any pistol like WALTHER PP , Llama, astra ect having drop down feature can accomodate 12 to 15 shot single stack magazine with better reliablity and at better price .
I really dont have any doubt about CZ 83 , they are really well built pistol but spending 15 lac on pistol is really personal choise where else buying Llama or astra or walther pp for 4 to 5 lac price tag and getting four pieces of 12 shot magazine made for ten thousand is always preffered , just my personal openion.....

Have a CZ 83 in 38 ACP. As long as you do not use hollow points you will not have any failure to feed. Also orignal magzines work best, have see failures with aftermarket. To each his own, have owned both but would rate the CZ much higher. Beretta has better market share but that is because CZ could not export into the US till the mid 80s due to the iron curtain, that may not apply to India. I will post some photographs of my CZ this weekend.

i totally agree with you about the mags james :) but thats how the prices in india are, depending on mag capacity, spare mag, makers name etc etc.even century old webleys command a good price of 3.5L.i have seen guns sold for ridiculous prices just because its a jeffery or s&w with 2 or 3 reblueing jobs and some desi parts :)

The last time I checked .32/.380 Webley pistols were for 1.5lkhs Bernadelli hammerless for 1.6lkhs and MAB Model C for 1.5-1.6lkhs.All these prices were from dealers and would include a hefty profit margin.Savage .32/.380's were slightly cheaper.

As far as higher magazine capacity goes, few if any of the gun owner's would be called upon to engage multiple targets in their life time.

Also,if you can't resolve the issue in 5-6 cartridges, you would be dead before you have the time to fire any more.I know of a number of people who are into protecting high profile targets and they feel happy carrying a 5 shot .38special revolver. This is in fact less than the IOF's 8 shot capacity. The caliber's,off course do not compare. But then that is another issue,we are talking about mag capacity.
