Ruger Single Six Price check

Post by The Doc » Thu Nov 20, 2008 6:03 pm

Gentlemen,

This is a query on behalf of a friend . He has been offered a Ruger Single Six ( new model) .22LR with an extra WMR cylinder , 6.5 inch barrel , excellent condition for Rs.3.5 L.

Is the price OK ?

A good buy, but remember this gun will shoot WMR ammo more accurately then the normal .22LR. as the barrels for such revolvers are generally drilled to .22WMR ammo dimentions to avoid excessive pressure. It will not make much of a difference though as these revolvers are meant for plinking and small game shooting. Hope this one has a 6" barrel.

Is this one of the pair, from the dealer in Chandigarh.Personally think it's over priced, considering
.22 WMR ammo is not easily available.

i totally agree with sanjay :) considering the availability of .22WMR ammo, the gun would be used most of the time with .22LR cylinder.i would suggest to go for a decent smith&wesson .22 in this budget.it is serve for plinking with KF ammo and carry purpose with some high performance ammo like stingers.just a personal opinion :)

Hi Sanjay,
As far as I know it is not a part of the "pair". The dealer had this one and another one which he had is an old model single six ( 3 screw model). Price is being worked upon.

Indian,
WMR .22 ammo is available here ( for the time being).

best,
