Is it legal to import a new gun stock ?

RP.
It's always better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it !

Mack The Knife: here's a link to the field service manual for the humpback. This site also has stock profiles, specific to the Auto 5, that are identical to the ones you have in mind.

Rusty, while stock preferences are largely a matter of personal choice may I dare suggest you go with as close a replacement to the current one as possible? This would save you needless and (more or less useless) modifications to the gun itself. For a model as popular as this one should not be difficult to procure a matching replacement... one of the benefits of owning a popular model... :)

Cheers!

Thanks for the link, Ashok. I have had the manual for a good few years now and the two small pics posted in my initial post are from the MWG website. I know those are available but what I need to know is whether they are straight fit on 'my' Auto-5.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abhijeet, I haven't done a thorough search for straight gripped stocks but so far none are to be had on the sites that I have looked at.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for you, Swindler Singh, you can take it for granted that you will be doing all the running around but sans gun. Want to meet up in December? Give Abhijeet a bell.

Mack The Knife,

I NEVER sell to,buy from or receive or give as gifts anything from relatives and friends,no matter how good the deal. There has been just one exception to this and the experience has only reconfirmed that I am on the right track in this.
