Okay let me do the usual thing leaders' do under stress -fix blame. NM returned the jacket with the glove from what I remember. O h yeah the sling was there but we didn't have the thingy on the rifle that fits to the sling...heh heh how pressure makes my memory work so well

HI TenX

could you give a rundown of the equipment that's needed to enter in comps etc.

what is the kit needed for airpistol/rifle and full bore.

also can one enter without official shooting clothing?

what is the routine for prone/sitting/standing matches?

what the hack why not do a wonderful sticky?

I believe it has been shifted to Agra,7th-8th Nov,cause of the law & order issues in Assam.

Danish was there in Agra till yesterday, participating in the UP state championships. Will ask for details later this afternoon.

As for Delhi ranges, one of the ranges will open today. Otherwise the gang is practiseing in Paiala or other places.

Some are shooting at navin Jindals private range.

Yesterday being a Sunday even I did get a few skeet shots, with Cyprus made COMPAC cartridges. They are good. Much like Olympia I use while in Dubai in fact from the same maker, Victory.

hello all , just now i got a phone call from our friend cherian. he told that GVM now postponed due to security threats. no confirmation about new date and venue. & he along with kerala shooting team broke the journey on their way to assam. .

Spoke and confirmed with some national team shooters yesterday.

G.V> Mavlankar will be held in Agra. 2008 Nationals will be held in Jaipur in December ( For shotgun ) AIr Rifle, pistol, 22 rimfire events or Centrefire events I am not sure where.

In the Nationals minimum qualification score is 90 out of 125.

I am not in the right frame of mind now. WIll begin my training on the ranges soon and will participate in state ( Bihar ), Mavlankar and if I get qualification scores then in Nationals next year.

Currently in trap i do manage 18 per round which is the qualification score but in competition shooting more concentration and dedication is required.

We, ( my shooter friends ) are all set to import this years quota of 15,000 cartridges each from Cyprus ( Victory ) 2004 skeet ( 9 1/2 ) and Compak no. 7 1/2 cartridges. The landed price is close to Rs. 14 each.

22 LR, Centrefire pistol and Air Rifle followed by 3 position Big bore I will do next year. This year will be limited to Skeet and Trap only ( training ).
