Warthog, I'm afraid I have a lot on my plate these days, in fact I haven't even had much time to log on much for the past few weeks... Things should ease up a bit by the middle of next month though, will get around to it then.

Cheers!

I have passed on his contacts to Abhijeet to do the needful. Presently, all his calls and messages are being severely scrutinized for various reasons, and getting him to join/do anything will probably require a lot of persistence. I dont know if Abhijeet has any updates...

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bring this post back from its grave, their are 2 reasons to do so,

1) Mind Blowing and decent discussions on RKBA, the facts and the general mentality of Indian populace is brought up very well in this thread. The members who have not read this post earlier, my sincere request please read it from the Start.
It's a good material for Anti's to give a thought of changing their sides. More importantly for the members who posses guns and still think as ANTI's, i hope it serves as an eye opener.

2) Abhijeet, did you had any luck in contacting Abhinav Bindra, I know its not an easy task but the Mileage he can provide if he comes to aid, can be beyond anyone's thought.

Once again, it's a nice read.

Ravi.

arrey bro yaj. dont mind them.

we should agree with this fact. all doctors run after money. whats wrong with that?
the whole country is doing that so why not doctors.
register land for clinic/hospital...... commercial charges
electricity.....................commercial connection
gas..............................commercial connection
water........................commercial connection
etc etc
but when it comes to treatment...... make it non commercial.

let me tell them something. here in the uk, medicine is as non commercial as it can be. all the doctors in the nhs genuinely want to help people. all treatment under the nhs is free. but even here people are surprised when i tell them that people in india expect to get private treatment and not expect doctors to charge them a lot of money. they are even more surprised to learn that a some doctors even see people for free even in peivate practice.

the rules here are clear. if u want free treatment..... go to sarkari. if ure not happy with the quality, go private and pay.

in the us, there are so many websites, books movies etc about how unfair and expensive the treatment there is. but u wont see the same media saying things about doctors. everyone realises that one is free to charge fee, money etc for ones services.

if we tell these people we dont run after money, they wont believe us and keep repeating themselves.

we should say things like of course we are after money and good at it as we are smarter and cleverer than you. you arent horrified by the money minded nature of the doctors but jealous that we make so much money.

if u say u arent jealous because u make more money than us then u urself are running after money so dont blame others.

Thats the only reason I asked for everybody's number. We need to change the image first if we want general public to be part of our cause.

Shooter-, you are right mate! Its just that doctors are always convenient "soft" targets and anyway I hate generalisations of any sort. They are always unfair.
I have seen plenty of grateful patients too, who truly appreciate what we do so I would not like to tar the rest of the non medicos as ungrateful SOBs

Hi Yaj,

I did not write this " most doctors only run after money".... i was answering to someone, i copied these lines and forgot to name the author..this was posted by TenX (first page of this thread) .....in fact i did not like what he wrote.

this was my post,

we are not saying "arm everyone"... there are qualification criteria even to get a drivers license.. a mentally insane or unfit person will not even get his drivers license.. and somebody was talking about our record keeping if the record keeping is right then how come land grabbers and people with criminal records have licensed weapons...a cricket bat or a golf club used otherwise is as dangerous as a gun... the way they portray a fire arm in our country sends shivers down a common man's spine, he thinks it can only take life never does he/she imagine it can be used to save them or someone Else's live..there have to be proper education about fire arms to change its image, and some thing should be done fast or the fear will be ingrained so deep that our future generations will shudder at the word GUN.

Farhan, your post did not have the quote marks so i naturally thought they were your words.
Now that you mention it ,this is an old thread and i had responded to Ten X earlier .I guess i handled it better the first time
Anyway now that it is cleared up I'll shut up and let the topic get back on track.
Regards,
Yaj.
