Hi Guys:
I'm Ashok from Bangalore. I've been visiting IFG since it began and only just registered - hence my moniker :D
I live in Bangalore and am on a well earned sabbatical after years in the IT salt mines :D
The first thing I did was to pick up a National 35 from Joy in Calcutta and start plinking in the garden with other jobless types.
I had given up shooting years ago when I came back from university and had to leave all my guns behind (boo hoo, it still depresses me).
Great to know we've all come together and hope to meet (and plink with) you soon.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I feel I know you well from reading your posts.
The BBs might have to be renamed the Bangalore Buffaloes with me coming in :D
22LR and 12 gauge were favorites at Univ. I basically fired anything I could beg, borrow or steal :D My favorites were a Ruger Mark 2 pistol (.22) and an Ithaca pump.
My worst performance was probably with the .45 - I have to admit to not being able to hit the proverbial "back side of a barn" with it, even though I kept at it :D
I've never formally trained in any competition shooting - FT/beer cans/logs was more my style. Wild horses can't keep me away from the next BB FT outing :D
I'd really like to join the KSRA and formally learn 50 mtr rifle.
My current plans are to plink to glory with the National 35 (the only blunderbuss I currently own) and maybe join the KSRA. The gun license process seems hopelessly intimidating.
I'm usually at Koshys, most afternoons - the coffees are on me :D

welcome ashok :) im sure u will have a good time here.i suggest that u can try for arms license too.after all,there is no wrong in trying.have a happy plinking :) :)

TenX: thanks much for the link and the offer. A friend is getting me the forms when he goes for the AGM on the 11'th (?). Shall run the form by you before submitting.

The AGM is on the 12th.. and I doubt if your friend can get you the form, unless he has enough Lobby :)
Procedure is to pick it up personally from the Admn. Offr...
