Which shotgun in India is reliable in terms of safety & reliability?(Chamber etc. won't burst injuring the shooter and shoot accurately & consistently)

Well...I have fired my dad's Modern and no problems till date. Though heavy as hell but quite sturdy and looks good too. I got the butt and polished, blued the barrels(it was a dull grey when I saw it though brand new)...chrome plated the reciever. A friend and his elder brother did something to the triggers and they pretty decent too...Once, I fired 25 consecutive shots from it and the barrel still did not get too hot no problems while firing either...a good sturdy piece. I think that one should have two shotguns, an imported and a desi. Since my grandad already has a BSA SxS we bought a desi one but I still think that a SxS desi is lighter and better than an O/U. But who knows if you get the same quality. I'm pretty happy with my desi shotgun.

Cant say the desis are so bad. We have a SBBL made by Prem Sagar & Sons, HP, model Gameking. In the family since '69. Cost price Rs 428. Never missed a shot or any elector problem. Extensively used even today with 500 rounds per year quota which is almost exhausted. So desi or phirangi, everyone has their own experience
