Hello

Post by pavan_mex » Mon Oct 06, 2008 9:59 pm

Hello everyone. I am Pavan, and live in Leon, Mexico. I am more into compound bows, hunting and fishing. In Mexico we hunt for white tail deer, hares, coyotes, and migratory birds (not with bows ofcourse)

I have a Mathew's Dranaline Bow with 60Lbs draw weight and a 28inch draw shooting a 425 grain arrow at 290 feet / sec with a 68Lbs / Sqft Kinetic Energy impact. I visit BassPro and Cabelas 5 to 6 times a year.

My brother Shamsher is also a member of this forum.

Best regards

Pavan

Thanks everyone,

I just got my permits to shoot in Mexico. Unfortunately this year white tail permits were exhausted by the time I got my papers in. But, gues what... I did get a permit to shoot Chital here in Mexico. I have made reservations at a registered hunting ranch to hunt chital close to Leon, Mexico in January 2009... yes you read that correctly, Chital from India except they are called Axis deer here. I will soon add some pics.

You can also hunt black buck, sambhar, nilgai here in Mexico. Disneyworld sells off all their excess animals to prevent inbreeding, and hunting farms from US/Canana/Mexico buy them for hunting. Tell you what, about 20 days ago I went to see the Chital ranch. The ranch was about 450 sq. hectars and had about 700 heads. The owner had a special .. 1 buck for US$ 1500 and 2 does free..plus all the coyotes, javelin (wild boar) and hares you can shoot.

Antelopes from the American continent are also available. White tail, Elk, Moose, Stag Deer.. name it you can shoot it.....just need some green coloured paper... :D with the $ sign on it!!!

To give you an idea this is what a ranch look like.. they are from Mexico & Texas
