Hi Hyd Nawab,

Your post was indeed interesting. I last went to the Delhi zoo in 1969 may be when i was in my IIIrd standard . Plan to revisit the Delhi zoo and also see the Red Fort from inside now since I never visited it before though I pass it every day.

Excellent pics Ashar. Does the zoo still have the safari ? The last time I was at the Nehru Zoo in Hyderabad, it was more than 15 years back. Looks like you had a nice time. I hope it gets better for our kids, in the zoo and in the wild.

Would you mind, IF I am able to find pics of my trips to zoo/safari may I post in this thread. We had visited the safari at Six Flags in New Jersey and the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha.

Dear Shareif Bhai,

You are more than welcome to post your safari pics on this thread.I certainly did have a nice time.Went a little early. Was there at 8.30AM so there was no one there. We were going around the tiger enclosure and one of the assistant keeper said that I could take pictures close to the tiger during the feeding time at 8 in the morning. He has asked for Rs.1000.My dad immediately said "Nahi, Nahi, Pagal ho gaye kya?"(No,No, have you gone mad?) Took his phone number and told him that I will call him before I come.

Planning to do this after the Dassera holidays.Hope to put up pictures of the same ASAP.

They do have a safari but didnt find it that interesting. They have improved the facilities for the animals by making new and large enclosures.

Cheers

Ashar

Hey there used to be a gorilla at the entrance (as you enter on the left hand side) is that chap still around. he was quite an attraction as he used to smoke cigarettes that were thrown to him.
Nicotine addiction i guess. i wonder if the smoking ban affected it :D

Amazing... the wonderful colors of Nature :)

One can see the difference in color and contrast between the shots taken in the SLR and probably a aim-n-shoot that madam had :)

P.S. Did anyone notice the look on the red shirt kid with Mr.Hippo-Fighter in the JAWS :)
